Arrive for hors d'oeuvres at 5, roll at 6
End location: Inner SE
Ride length: 8-15 miles
Back for a second summer by popular demand, it's VEGAN DINNER BY BIKE, the only bike ride in the world (probably) where you get to enjoy a free multi-course meal that is fully hauled and set up by bike! Ride along with us on this ethical epicurian adventure that will start with a curated spread of hors d'oeuvres at Piccolo Park (bring your own bottle of wine and a picnic blanket). We'll then head out on a ramble around town with stops for a main course, desserts, and after-dinner drinks. We'll listen to our favorite songs about fruits and vegetables as we ride, and we'll keep the energy going with some fun activities at each stop. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YA GO: πΉAll food is pre-ordered and gratis but you must bring or purchase your own drinks π No RSVP required. If turnout is larger than expected, portions may be small but you'll still have a chance to sample something from each stop π₯£Please bring your own utensil and dish, as we won't be giving out disposable ones (but we will have some spares for those who forget) π₯Gluten and nut-free options will be available, but we can't make promises about cross contamination πOur ending point will be 21+ but minors are welcome to join for the rest of the ride π°There will be at least one bathroom mid-route, and several places to refill water πͺWe'll mostly be in outdoor spaces, so bring a blanket or folding chair if you want to sit π²Total distance is less than ten miles, pace will be easy, inexperienced riders welcome πFree Palestine π₯π₯¬π₯ππ₯π ππ₯π₯ππππ₯πππ ππ₯ππ₯πππ«π₯₯ππ ABOUT REVOLUTIONARY BICYCLE CLUB: we are a collective of cyclists who believe that all liberation causes are connected, and that showing solidarity with oppressed peoples goes hand in hand with rejecting fossil fuels and rejecting the exploitation of animals and the environment. In line with our belief in the interconnectedness of justice causes, all the food on this ride is from co-op businesses that demonstrate ethics that extend beyond food. Being a co-op means placing the needs of workers and community above the interests of bourgeois owners and distant shareholders, which is something we need a lot more of at a time when billionaires are busy trying to kill literally everyone on the planet. Several of these businesses are also listed on PORTLANDTOPALESTINE.COM, a directory of local businesses standing up against genocide and apartheid! π΅πΈ Want to help out with this or other rides we're doing this summer? Email revolutionarybc@proton.me to learn about opportunities to be involved; we're always in need of extra hands for hauling stuff, setup, corking, arranging donations, planning activities, and a lotta other things. Cheers!
